MAURINE NORTHCUTT

Funeral for Maurine Bode Northcutt of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Hintz will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-6 p.m. today.

Northcutt, 89, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 23, 1909, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Elam and Alma Randol Masterson. She first married Herbert Bode in May 1931, at Sikeston. He died May 15, 1946. She later married W.C. Northcutt Nov. 26, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 19, 1978.

Northcutt worked in area restaurants many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a son, Larry Bode of Sandstone, Minn.; a daughter, Marilyn Whitney of Ballwin; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
