KELSO, Mo. — Maurice Charles Schlosser, 84 of Kelso died Friday, March 13, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 21, 1935, in Illmo to Theon John Sr. and Ella Irene LeDure Schlosser. He married Margie Burton on Oct. 27, 1956.

He was a farmer and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso; Knights of Columbus Council 6420 in Scott City and Cape Elks No. 639. He was a member of the National Guard for seven years.

He is survived by his wife, Margie; two sons, Tim (Gail) Schlosser and Randy (Tina) Schlosser of Kelso; two daughters, Kathy Schlosser and Sandy (Bob) Drury of Kelso; three brothers, William (Pat) Schlosser of Benton, Missouri, Dale (Gale) Schlosser and Rick (Karen) Schlosser of Scott City; six sisters, Helen Kluesner, Doris (Danny) Moore, Diana (Ira) Judd, Charlotte Hooper, Mary Schlosser and Juanita (Jack) Dannenmueller, all of Scott City; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8:00 p.m. today at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso.
