OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Maurice "Bub" Willis, 60, of Olive Branch, died Wednesday March 12, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 10, 1936, in Miller City, to Roy Allen and Eschol Lesar Willis.
He was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Illinois Agriculture Association and the Farm Bureau. He was an Air Force veteran.
He worked in construction from 1960 to 1964, then went to work as an electrician for McDonell Douglas in St. Louis and Cape Canaveral where he worked on the F-4 Phantom and Skylab projects.
In 1973, he returned to Olive Branch to join his father on the family farm.
Survivors include his mother of Olive Branch; a son, Marty Willis of Kirksville, Mo.; two daughters, Theresa Lamburth of Cape Girardeau and Sherrie Malone of Pulaski; a sister, Darlyn Pearman of Kissimmee, Fla.; a brother, Gregory Willis of Shreveport, La.; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Billy Don Heady and Carl Hester officiating. Internment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
