JONESBORO, Ill. -- Maude R. Kinder, 90, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, July 29, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born May 16, 1902, in Jonesboro, daughter of William and Fannie Simpson Rhodes. She married Virgil Kinder in 1924, who died June 24, 1986...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Maude R. Kinder, 90, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, July 29, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born May 16, 1902, in Jonesboro, daughter of William and Fannie Simpson Rhodes. She married Virgil Kinder in 1924, who died June 24, 1986.

Kinder was a member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church and its Women's Society, Helpful Housekeepers Club, and VFW Auxiliary 3455. She was a past president of Union County Homemakers Extension of Illinois Farm Burerau.

Survivors include a son, Harold Kinder of Orange, Calif.; a daughter, Carole Watkins of Anaheim, Calif.; two sisters, Ann Rhodes and Myrtle Boyd of Anna; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Norris and Son Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
