MAUDE L. SHANKS

MATTHEWS -- Funeral service for Maude Lucinda Shanks of Matthews will be at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Dick Mainord and Paul Terrell will officiate, with burial in Matthews Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.

Shanks, 97, died Friday, March 27, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 30, 1894, at Matthews. She and Welton M. Shanks were married Nov. 9, 1912, at LaForge. He died in August 1975.

Morgan was a member of Crowe Methodist Church here.

Survivors include a son, Joe Shanks of New Madrid; three daughters, Rebecca Steward of Piedmont, Betty LeSieur of Pearlington, Miss., Marguerite Proffer of Matthews; a brother, Wayne Brooks of Portageville; a sister, Othel Noyes of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
