Maud Ritter

ADVANCE -- Funeral for Maud Ritter of Advance will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel General Baptist Church. The Revs. Ray Placher and Fred Ritter will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Ritter, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 3, 1910, at Tilman, daughter of Robert and Della Goza Barks. She and Jacob Ritter were married July 11, 1934, in St. Louis. He died Feb. 26, 1959.

Ritter was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Robert and Carl Ritter Sr. of Advance, the Rev. Fred Ritter of Marble Hill; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, a sister, a half sister, two grandsons, and two great-grandchildren.
