JACKSON -- Graveside service for Mattie Lela Jaco of Douglas, Ga., was held Jan. 15 at Douglas City Cemetery, with the Rev. Glenn Taylor officiating.

Sims Funeral Home in Douglas was in charge of arrangements.

Jaco, 73, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, at Coffee Regional Hospital in Douglas, following an extended illness.

She was born May 9, 1921, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of John William and Minnie D. Benfield Adams. She married Cletus Edward Jaco, who preceded her in death.

Jaco moved to Coffee County, Ga., five years ago from Jackson. She attended Covenant Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Young of Douglas; six sons, Kenny Jaco of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnny Jaco of Delafield, Wis., Robert Jaco of Wichita, Kan., Alva Jaco of Atlanta, Ga., Jimmy Jaco of Ladson, S.C., Tommy Jaco of Manila, Ark.; two brothers, Leman and Freeman Adams of Illinois; 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
