PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mary L. Whitaker, 74, of Perryville died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 21, 1930, at El Paso, Texas, daughter of Marshall F. and Emma Irene Shelton Boone. She and Billy J. Whitaker were married Nov. 22, 1947. He died July 30, 2003...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mary L. Whitaker, 74, of Perryville died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 21, 1930, at El Paso, Texas, daughter of Marshall F. and Emma Irene Shelton Boone. She and Billy J. Whitaker were married Nov. 22, 1947. He died July 30, 2003.

Whitaker and her husband were the owners and operators of Bill's Truck Repair in St. Louis for 27 years.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Don Whitaker of Perryville, Bobby R. Whitaker of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Debra K. Coomer of Perryville; and two brothers, J.D. Boone of Kennett, Mo., and Buddy Boone of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday or from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitewater Christian Church Cemetery.
