MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mary Frances Vandeven, 87, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at Jackson Manor in Jackson. She was born April 9, 1931, at Leopold, Missouri, daughter of Martin Peter and Johanna Angela Vandeven Tenholder. She married Sylvester "Bud" Vandeven at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold on Sept. 17, 1949, and he passed away Jan. 7, 2011...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Mary Frances Vandeven, 87, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

She was born April 9, 1931, at Leopold, Missouri, daughter of Martin Peter and Johanna Angela Vandeven Tenholder. She married Sylvester "Bud" Vandeven at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold on Sept. 17, 1949, and he passed away Jan. 7, 2011.

Mary was a homemaker; a member of the St. John, Apostle and Evangelist, Church in Leopold, where she served in the church choir and was a member of the Saint Anne's Christian Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Jeaneal) Vandeven of Marble Hill, Susan Beatty of Millersville, Tom (Janet) Vandeven and David (Dana) Vandeven, both of Marble Hill, Nancy (Michael) McDowell of Jackson and Danny (Tammy) Vandeven of Leopold; son-in-law, Randy Mayfield of Sedgewickville, Missouri; sisters, Juliana Elfrink and Agatha DeBrock, both of Leopold; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband Sylvester "Bud" Vandeven; parents; infant son, Scott Vandeven; daughter, Carol Jean Mayfield; brother, Joe Tenholder; sisters, Leola Tenholder and Rosalia Elfrink; and son-in-law, Edward Beatty.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with parish prayers at 7 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
