ADVANCE -- Mary "Lucille" Tippett, 78, of Buckeye, Ariz., formerly of Advance, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, in Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 11, 1920, near Advance, daughter of George and Bertie Pohlman.
She married Merrill Tippett Nov. 25, 1948, at Corning, Ark. He died April 21, 1992.
She was member of the First Southern Baptist Church at Buckeye. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Dale Tippett of Okawville, Ill.; three daughters, Wilma Kraatz of Olmsted, Ill., Janice Steincamp of Fresno, Calif., and Velda Pyle of Greenville, S.C.; four brothers, Don Fowler, Mose Fowler and Robert Fowler, all of Advance, and Ralph Fowler of Chicago; four sisters, Ruby VanGennip, Jewell Umfleet and Mildred Harnes, all of Advance, and Dorothy Jones of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Revs. Richard Martin and Rick Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery at Buckeye, where a graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Home Monday from 11 a.m. to service time.
