Mary Thomson

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- The funeral for Mary Helen Thomson of Chaffee will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Chaffee. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the church after 4 p.m. today at the church. A P.E.O. service will be held at 7.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.

Thomson, 89, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Aug. 22, 1913, at Chaffee, daughter of William Brown and Ara Finley Thomson.

Thomson was a former reporter at the Southeast Missourian Newspaper in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and member of Chaffee Chapter CX of P.E.O.

There are no known survivors.
