FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Mary Helen Summers, 73, of Fayetteville died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 7, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Willice Jasper and Mabel Lorene Higgason Pledger. She married the Rev. John David Summers Dec. 22, 1956, in Cape Girardeau.
Summers was a member of Sulphur City Baptist Church. She retired from Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale, Ark.
Survivors include her husband of Fayetteville; three daughters, Debbie Rodgers of West Fork, Ark., Theresa Summers of North Little Rock, Ark., and Jonna Bryant of Fayetteville; three brothers, Robert L. Pledger of El Monte, Calif., William J. and James E. Pledger of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Moore's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, with the Revs. Harry Black and Don Warford officiating. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery.
