Mary Margaret Walker, 71, of 2042 Woodlawn Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born May 4, 1923, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Jess and Zora Hodge Morton. She and Paul E. Walker were married Jan. 15, 1953, in St. Louis.

She worked for Superior Electric Co. of Cape Girardeau as a cord winder. She helped organize the first "March for Jesus" in Cape Girardeau and was a member of the New Plymouth Community Church.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Paul R. Walker of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Shari Diane Masterson of Austin, Texas; a brother, Jack Morton of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Evelyn Jackson of Cairo, Ill., and Geneva King of Jackson; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Poston officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
