EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Mary M. Coleman of Tiptonville, Tenn., will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Jim Nichols will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Coleman, 78, died Wednesday, March 29, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Dyersburg, Tenn.
She was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Tennessee, daughter of Richard and Effie Graham Turner. She and D.B. Coleman were married in 1934. He died in 1975.
Formerly of East Prairie, Coleman had lived in Tiptonville eight years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Donald, Jerry and Billy Coleman of Trimble, Tenn.; four daughters, June Thurmond of East Prairie, Faye Tautimer of Tucson, Ariz., Judy Hughey of Martin, Tenn., Mary Isbell of Evansville, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and brother.
