EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Mary Lueannie Flowers of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Don Heitman will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near here.
Flowers, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 1994, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
She was born May 7, 1913, in Fulton County, Ky., daughter of Luther and Annie Clapp Smithson. She and Fred Flowers were married June 29, 1940, in East Prairie.
Flowers was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Matthews.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Ann Hammontree of East Prairie, Shirley Day, Matthews Route 1; a brother, Bill Smithson of East Prairie; two sisters, Josephine Kirkpatrick of Rancho Mirage, Calif., Allegra Lindberg of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
