SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Mary Lee Chartrau of Sikeston was held Friday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiated, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Chartrau, 76, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996, at her home. She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Matthews, daughter of Albert Jefferson and Jennie Marie Adcock Gardner. She married Harry F. Chartrau, who died April 11, 1977...

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Mary Lee Chartrau of Sikeston was held Friday at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiated, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Chartrau, 76, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996, at her home.

She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Matthews, daughter of Albert Jefferson and Jennie Marie Adcock Gardner. She married Harry F. Chartrau, who died April 11, 1977.

Chartrau was a member of Wesley Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Harriett Dickerson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Joe Gardner of Lonoke, Ark.; four sisters, Peggy Tanner and Jane Cantrell of Sikeston, Margaret Green of Mason City, Ill., Barbara Rhoades of Dexter; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
