Funeral service for Mary Jane Wachter of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Dissen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Wachter, 54, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born March 28, 1938, at Frohna, daughter of Edwin Hugo and Gertrude Wilma Mueller Wacchter.

Wachter had been a salesclerk at Hirsch Brothers, Hirsch Mid-Town, P.N. Hirsch and Dollar General Store. She was a member of Trinity Church and its Friday Night Singles Group.

Survivors include her mother of Cape Girardeau, and an aunt, Norma Snell of Cape Girardeau, who helped care for her.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
