CHARLESTON -- Mary Hunt Bradley, 98, of Charleston died Friday, Dec. 9, 1994, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born May 12, 1896, in Shelby County, Tenn., the daughter of Osborne and Julia Boadnach Hunt. She married Leon "Red" Bradley Sr. in 1934 in Osceola, Ark. He preceded her in death March 20, 1993.
Bradley was a member of the Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Deventer, where she served on the Mothers Board.
Survivors include two sons, Leon Bradley Jr. of Pinhook and Robert Lee Bradley of Charleston; three daughters, Catherine Owens of Charleston, Mattie Garth of Osceola, Ark., and Bernice Gaines of Chicago; 75 grandchildren; 200 great-grandchildren and 150 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four daughters.
Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. today at the Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Charleston with the Rev. William Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
