Mary Betty Hayden-Stroud, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at her home.
She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Cooter, Missouri, to Edwin and Mary Emilee Wilson Hayden. Mary and William G. Hayden were married Nov. 1, 1948, at Caruthersville, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1980. She later married Ralph Stroud on Dec. 21, 1990, at Sullivan, Missouri. He preceded her in death in February 2013.
Survivors include two sons, William E. "Bill" (Edith) Hayden of Elbridge, Tennessee, and Joe D. (Sharon) Hayden of Holiday Island, Arkansas; a stepson, Scott E. (Kim) Stroud of California; three stepdaughters, Janice E. Wall of Bourbon, Missouri, Deborah A. (Ronnie) Campbell and Kathy L. (Kenny) Campbell, all of Sullivan; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a stepson, Stephen Ralph Stroud; and a stepson-in-law, Dave Wall.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
