Mary Hall Louis, 82, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1994, in a Las Vegas hospital.
She was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Shelbyville, Ky., daughter of Lee and Lillie Hall. She and Lyle P. Louis were married in August 1948 in Dillon, Mont.
Louis moved here as a young child. She attended elementary and high school here, received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master's degree in psychology from George Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn.
She taught several years at the former Lorimier School here, and also taught in Las Vegas. She was a member of National Education Association, Southern Nevada Teachers Association, Nevada State Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Kappa Delta Pi.
Survivors include a daughter, Candice Louis of Kansas City; a son, Fred Louis with the U.S. Army, and three grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral service will be at St. Christopher's Church in Las Vegas, with burial in Emporia, Kan.
