JACKSON -- Mary Emma Amos, 66, of Jackson died Sunday, July 23, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 10, 1929, at Delta, the daughter of John and Edna Statler Scheibley. She and Max Adam Amos were married Dec. 16, 1951, at Old Appleton.

Amos worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill for several years and was a Stanley Home Product representative for about 10 years. She also worked as a cook at the Ranch House restaurant for 20 years. She was a lifelong member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Old Appleton and also was a member of the United Methodist Women there.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Susan Amos; a son, John Robert Amos; and two grandchildren all of Jackson.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Janet Hopkins will officiate, and burial will be at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Old Appleton.
