Mary Ellen Miesner died Friday, Sept. 20, 1991, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 13, 1923 at Charleston, daughter of Murray and Mary Baker Grace.
She married Cletus H. (Heinie) Miesner on July 30, 1949 at Jackson. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1982.
Miesner was co-owner of the River Packet, a crafts and antique shop in downtown Cape Girardeau from September of 1984 until earlier this year. She was also a proof reader at the Southeast Missourian, from November of 1959 to March of 1981. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen H. Miesner, of Manchester, Mo., and Thomas P. Miesner, of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Stephan of Torrence, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Jared Miesner and Kergie Miesner, both of Thousand Oaks.
A brother, Murray Grace, preceded her in death.
Service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Ford and Sons Funeral Chapel, Sprigg Street, with the Rev. Jim Dace officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
