JACKSON -- Mary E. Slinkard, 99, of Jackson, formerly of Glen Allen, died Monday, May 3, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 7, 1893, in the Mayfield community, daughter of Henry M. and Mary C. Killian Yount. He and Henry E. Slinkard were married Aug. 1, 1920. He died Nov. 25, 1940.
Slinkard was a member of New Trace Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Henry Slinkard of Marble Hill, James Slinkard of Cottage Hills, Ill., Ernest Slinkard of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Fern Runnels of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Rev. Randy Poole will officiate, with burial in Old Trace Creek Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
