HARRISONVILLE -- Mary Ellen Ferguson, 89, of Harrisonville died on Monday, April 24, 2000, at Golden Years Care Services.

Ferguson was born Nov. 10, 1910, daughter of Will and Genney Davis Crowden. She and Thomas Luther Ferguson were married Dec. 26, 1952, in Benton.

Ferguson was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Ark. She formerly lived in Painton.

Survivors include a daughter, Eleanor "Kay" Cox of Harrisonville; three sons, Carrol Crowden of Delta, Clayton Lee of Lutesville, and Thomas L. Ferguson Jr. of Waldron, Ark.; two brothers, W.L. Crowden of Sikeston and Edward Crowden of Jackson; a sister, Mattie Cochran of Zalma; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

Funeral was on Friday, April 28, at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, with the Rev. Jeremy Vickers officiating.
