CAIRO, Ill. -- Mary Alice Culp, 93, of Cairo died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was born July 4, 1905, in Cairo, daughter of Michael and Mary Greaney O'Shea. She married Herbert Culp, who died in 1951. Culp had been a clerk at St. Mary's Hospital. CAIRO, Ill. -- Mary Alice Culp, 93, of Cairo died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born July 4, 1905, in Cairo, daughter of Michael and Mary Greaney O'Shea. She married Herbert Culp, who died in 1951.

Culp had been a clerk at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, its Altar Guild and Daughters of Isabella.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Mike O'Shea of Cairo.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

There is no visitation.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
