Mary Culbertson

Mary Ellen Culbertson, daughter of the late Oliver Thomas "O.T." Finley and Myrtle Fern Stephens Finley was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Scott County, Missouri, and departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at her home in Chandler, Indiana. at the age of 84 years.

Mary was a homemaker, member of the Cypress Baptist Church in Booneville, Indiana, and a former resident of Scott City.

On Dec. 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Jesse Paul Culbertson, Sr. in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death June 28, 2004.

Survivors include sons, Jesse (Beth) Culbertson Jr. of Franklin, Illinois, Gary (Becky) Culbertson of Booneville, Dale Keith (Maria) Culbertson of Springdale, Arkansas; daughters, Paula (Bob) Dolanski of Barling, Arkansas, and Sharron (Wayne) Phillips of Tamms, Illinois; brothers, Steve Finley, Tom Finley and Larry Finley, all of Scott City; sisters, Bobbie Gipson of Marshfield, Missouri, and Margaret Gott and Beverly 'Kay" Cotton, both of Scott City; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Finley and Jerry Finley.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Daryl Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in Lightner Cemetery.
