Mary Florence Poncy Collier, 76, of Montgomery, Ala., departed this life Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at her home. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery of Elba, Ala., today at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Mart Gray officiating. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home today from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The Collier family will receive friends at the Collier home, 3314 Allendale Place, Montgomery, after 6 p.m. today following the service...

Mary Florence Poncy Collier, 76, of Montgomery, Ala., departed this life Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery of Elba, Ala., today at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Mart Gray officiating.

Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home today from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The Collier family will receive friends at the Collier home, 3314 Allendale Place, Montgomery, after 6 p.m. today following the service.

Pallbearers will be George Clive Collier, Samuel Claude Collier, John Brock Collier, George Drummond Aplin, Schuyler Logan Collier, and William Brock Collier.

Mrs. Collier was a member of First Baptist Church in Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, George Lamar Collier of Montgomery; a daughter, Mary Mims (Bruce) of Cape Girardeau; three sons, George Clive Collier (Lori) of Minden, La., Samuel Claude Collier (Jackie) of Kennesaw, Ga., John Brock Collier (Beth) of Troy, Ala.; grandson-in-law George Aplin of Belleville, Ill., granddaughter Holley Aplin of Belleville; grandson Schuyler Collier of Monroe, La.; granddaughter Caroline Collier of Minden, grandson Seth Collier of Minden, granddaughter Katherine Collier of Kennesaw, granddaughter Elizabeth Collier of Kennesaw, Ga., grandson Brock Collier of Troy, grandson Sam Collier of Troy.

In lieu of flowers, Poncy requested the planting of a tree in her honor.

Hayes Funeral Home of Elba is serving the Collier family.
