SIKESTON -- Mary Lee Chartrau, 76, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996, at her home. She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Matthews to Albert and Jennie Adcock Gardner. She married Harry Chartrau. He died April 11, 1977. Survivors are a daughter, Harriett Dickerson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Joe Gardner of Lonoke, Ark.; four sisters, Peggy Tanner and Jane Cantrell, both of Sikeston, Margaret Green of Mason City, Ill., and Barbara Rhoades of Dexter; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild...

She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Matthews to Albert and Jennie Adcock Gardner.

She married Harry Chartrau. He died April 11, 1977.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Chartrau was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She also was a foster parent.

Friends may call at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston Friday from noon to 2.

Funeral service will be at the funeral home Friday at 2, with the Rev. Jerry Reynolds officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
