MALDEN -- Mary Louise Cannon, 90, of Kokomo, Ind., died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo. She was born Aug. 7, 1907, in Sunflower, Miss., daughter of Harry and Adeline Walker Chatman. She and Simmie Cannon were married in July 1927. He died April 9, 1989...

MALDEN -- Mary Louise Cannon, 90, of Kokomo, Ind., died Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo.

She was born Aug. 7, 1907, in Sunflower, Miss., daughter of Harry and Adeline Walker Chatman. She and Simmie Cannon were married in July 1927. He died April 9, 1989.

Cannon was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Malden.

Survivors include four daughters, Annie Young and Claudia Nix of Kokomo, Dortha Perkins of Malden, Peggy McClatchey of St. Louis; four sons, Harold, Alonzo, James and Carnell Cannon, all of Kokomo; two sisters, Susie Hernt and Eddie Johnson of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Georgie Jones of Chicago; and 19 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons, a daughter, and a stepson.

Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anthony Williams officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
