Mary Elizabeth Brown, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehab.
She was born Dec. 22, 1914, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Francis G. and Malinda M. Clark O'Howell. She and Frank S. Brown were married Sept. 3, 1932, at Cape Girardeau.
She had worked as a receiving clerk at Montgomery Ward in Cape Girardeau for 25 years. She later worked as a night cook at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was a 50-year member of West Side Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Ruth N. Walker of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother and a grandson.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jon Rehbein officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
