DEXTER, Mo. -- Funeral for Mary Tippen Brower of Dexter will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home. The Revs. Kevin Eskew and W.H. Worth will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Brower, 80, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Southern Healthcare.

She was born Sept. 9, 1920, near Dexter, daughter of Joe and Jane Swift Davis. She first married Ed Tippen Dec. 7, 1940. He died March 31, 1964. She later married Herbert Lee Jeris Sr. and then Russell Brower, both of whom preceded her in death.

Brower lived north of Dexter all her life. She worked at Elder Manufacturing Co. 27 years and was a member of Hill General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Tippen of Bloomfield, Mo., the Rev. Steven Tippen of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Veda Walker of Dexter; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.
