ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Anita Bloodworth, 71, of Anna died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at City Care Center.
She was born April 23, 1933, in West Frankfort, Ill., daughter of Henry Oscar and Mary Smith Garrard. She and Earnie E. Bloodworth were married Dec. 25, 1953, in Vienna, Ill. He died Dec. 3, 1992.
Bloodworth worked 19 years in a shoe factory in Anna. She was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church, and played the piano several years at City Care Center.
Survivors include three sons, James Bloodworth of Dongola, Ill., David Bloodworth of Anna, Timothy Bloodworth of Goreville, Ill.; her mother, Mary Walston of West Frankfort; two sisters, Helen Bland of St. Louis, Sherry Garrard of West Frankfort; three granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in McGinnis Cemetery near Anna.
