MOUNDS, Ill. -- Mary Lee Bellamy, 44, of Mounds died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 15, 1960, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Sylvester and Elnora Bellamy.
Bellamy was a 1979 graduate of Meridian High School and attended Shawnee College. She had worked at Meridian Manor Nursing Home in Mounds and Anna-Jonesboro Nursing Home.
Survivors include five sons, Eugene Bellamy of Cairo, Ronald, Reuben, Alonzo and Brandon Bellamy, all of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Davis of East St. Louis, Ill., Elnora Bellamy of the home; two sisters, Carolyn Whitfield of Gary, Ind., Maime Turner of Pulaski, Ill.; seven brothers, Sylvester Bellamy of Jefferson City, Mo., Alvin Bellamy of Cairo, Edward Bellamy of Michigan City, Ind., Roy Bellamy of Joliet, Ill., Jimmy Bellamy of Tamms, Ill., Benjamin Bellamy of Mound City, Ill., Jimmy Turner of Pulaski; a friend, Michael Woods of Mounds; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home in Cairo from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church in Mounds, with the Rev. Donald Steuard officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
