Mary Louise Baylor, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at her home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1936 in McClure, Ill., to Clyde Marion and Mable Louise Dover Jackson.

She and James Baylor were married in May 1976 at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in October 1999.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 30 years and Bethany Baptist Church until she had health problems.

Survivors include her mother, Mable Forehand of Cape Girardeau; four sons, William Franklin Durham, Robert John Durham, James W. Baylor Jr., and Montie Baylor, all of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Debra Shaw of Jacksonville, Ill.; one sister, Clydie Deloise of McClure; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband and daughter Vicki Emmons.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to VFW Post 3838.
