PORTAGEVILLE -- Mary Delphine Alsobrook, 74, of Portageville died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Portageville, daughter of Joseph Casey and Delphine Mary Dunne McCrate. She and Phil Alsobrook were married April 8, 1947, in Portageville...

PORTAGEVILLE -- Mary Delphine Alsobrook, 74, of Portageville died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Portageville, daughter of Joseph Casey and Delphine Mary Dunne McCrate. She and Phil Alsobrook were married April 8, 1947, in Portageville.

Alsobrook was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church and Our Lady's Sodality.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kevin Alsobrook of Yuma, Ariz., Joseph Alsobrook of Memphis, Tenn.; five daughters, Liby Simmerman of Hattiesburg, Miss., Julia Alsobrook of Kansas City, Mary Wilson of Portageville, Ellen Balsizer of Tampa, Fla., and Rita Cremerius of Memphis.

Also surviving is a brother, Michael McCrate of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Cornelia McCrate of Cape Girardeau, Charlotte Meatte of St. Louis; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Eustachius Church. Msgr. Mike Swalina and the Rev. Roger Leveillee will officiate. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.
