MARTIN WAGNER

JACKSON -- A memorial service for Martin R. "Buddy" Wagner of Houston, Texas, will be held at noon Saturday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Jackson City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time.

Wagner, 83, died Nov. 25, 1997, in Houston.

He was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Jackson, son of Martin and Bessie Wagner. He attended Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University.

Wagner assisted his father and later his brother at the Wagner Family Bakery in Jackson. He retired from Ethyl Corp. in Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Remy; a daughter, Susan Lawrie of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Dr. Martin Wagner of Nashville, Dr. William Wagner of Houston; a sister, Martha Wagner of Jackson; and six grandchildren.

His first wife, Maria Christina, preceded him in death. He was also preceded by two brothers.
