Martin Payne

PUXICO, Mo. -- Martin Keith Payne, 47, of Puxico died Friday, July 7, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 6, 1959, in Advance, Mo., son of Thomas C. and Audrie Moore Payne. He and Vickie Gardner were married Oct. 13, 1979, at Puxico.

Payne was a 1977 graduate of Puxico High School. He lived in the Puxico area most of his life, and was a self-employed truck driver.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommy Payne of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Jackie Harmon and Tonya Payne of Puxico; his parents of Puxico; two brothers, Marlin Payne of Bluffton, Ark., David Payne of Puxico; a sister, Tammy Wheetley of Puxico; and a granddaughter.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phillip Tanner officiating. Burial will be in McGee Cemetery near Puxico.
