Martin D. Heroux, 52, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 7, 1964, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Richard and Barbara Gaulin Heroux.
Martin was a machinist for Wahlco D.W. Tool in Jackson since 1990. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and, overall, just loved being outdoors.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Heroux of Chicopee, Massachusetts; son, Mathew Heroux (Rachel Michelson) of Jackson; companion, Becky Scharenborg and her daughter, Christina Scharenborg; former wife and mother of Mathew, Julie Sheaffer; brothers, Joe and Ed Heroux; sisters, Nancy Banas and Michele Lemke; granddaughter, Haley Heroux; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim and Linda Stewart, Ed Anderson and Don, Ron and Floyd Wallers.
Martin loved all of his family, but especially his granddaughter, Haley. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson.
There will be no funeral service.
Memorial donations may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
