Martin H. Young, 82, 639 Perry Ave., died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993 at the Lutheran Home. He was born June 27, 1911 in Cape girardeau, the son of Gilbert H. and Sadie Ervin Young.
He was first married to Maggie Schuette, who preceded him in death, and on June 8, 1982 married Evelyn Thomas DeMortiers in Jackson. She survives.
In 1969 he retired from Carter Carburetor Co. in St. Louis, where he was an inspector. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Wayne Young of Tampa, Fla., one brother, Truman Young of DeSoto; one step-brother, Bobby Stroder of DeSoto; two sisters, Lilly Poss and Lou Anna Wilson, both of Port Richey, Fla.; one step-sister, Betty Klutz of Augusta, Ga.; one grandson and one step-brother and one step-sister.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons, with Rev. Ernest Swartz officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
