CHARLESTON -- Martha McCormick, 87, of Fairdealing, formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 1995, at Doctors' Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
She was born March 28, 1907, in Pollard, Ark., daughter of Henry and Mary Scheffler. She and Walter McCormick were married Oct. 4, 1925. He died Dec. 22, 1976.
McCormick lived at Charleston most of her life, where she retired from Brown Shoe Co. She moved to Doniphan in 1977 and was a member of Current River Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Willard of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Jennie Chronister of Charleston, Betty Hodges of Fairdealing; a sister, Agnes Spiller of Doniphan, eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two half sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Cox officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
