Martha Louise Dickinson, 58, of Hartville, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo.

She was born Jan. 15, 1949, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Melvin Delaine and Marie Helen Telle Bacon.

She and Charlie Dickinson were married Dec. 21, 1974.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marshfield, Mo. She was also a member of the Elmer O. Sellers American Legion Auxiliary Post 45, the Athenians and 20th Century Club; she was also a TARGET member, a Wright County Republican Central Committee person and was currently operating the Hartville License Bureau.

Dickinson graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School and then from Southeast Missouri State University with a teaching degree. She taught in the Hartville School District for 31 years.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Dickinson and Chuck Dickinson, both of Hartville; a brother, David Bacon of Cape Girardeau; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holman-Howe Chapel in Hartville, with Rob Holzrichter officiating. Burial will be in Steele Memorial Cemetery.
