SIKESTON -- Mark W. Throop, 38, died Monday, May 24, 1999, at his home in Centralia.
He was born Oct. 27, 1960, at Sikeston, son of Loren E. and Imo Hill Throop.
He is a 1979 graduate of Sikeston High School and attended and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University.
He was a nursing home administrator at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Centralia.
He also was a licensed funeral home director.
He owned Throop Funeral Home in Sikeston from 1984 to 1987. He served as Scott County administrator from 1985 to 1988. He was a past president of the Centralia Kiwanis Club and served as president of the Centralia Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Missouri League of Nursing Home Administrators.
He was a member of the Centralia Church of Christ.
Survivors include a brother, Eddie Throop of Sikeston, and a sister, Lorita Ulmer of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Fenton Funeral Chapel in Centralia and again Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sikeston chapel, with Johnny Hester and Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
