EAST PRAIRIE -- Mark Hal Archie, 75, of East Prairie, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born June 6, 1920, in the Sugar Tree community near East Prairie, son of Walter Cleveland and Molly Vera Jackson Archie. He and Betty Sue O'Dell were married Feb. 14, 1948.
Archie was a retired farmer, and member of Barnes Ridge Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Archie of Memphis, Tenn., Mark Archie of Bertrand; three daughters, June Maxey and Patty Owens of East Prairie, Monda McClendon of Canalou; two brothers, Frank "Pete" Archie of Hickman, Ky., W.C. "Judge" Archie of Marshfield; a sister, Polly Toombs of Hickman; 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Amos Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
