JACKSON -- Memorial service for Senior Petty Officer Mark D. Adams of Grand Haven, Mich., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until service time.

Adams, 39, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

He is a 1979 graduate of Jackson High School. He has served in the U.S. Coast Guard the past 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, the former Chantal Schiffeler; his parents, Bill and Shirley Adams of Jackson; a brother, Mike Adams of St. Louis; a sister, Tammy Francis of St. Louis; and maternal grandmother, Freda Martin of Jackson.
