JACKSON -- Marjorie Lorraine Poe, 75, of Jackson died Sunday Jan. 12, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Edward and Opal Lillian Best Blumer.
She married Leo Pete Poe Feb. 14, 1941, in Cape Girardeau. He survives.
She had been a secretary for the former Jackson Hosiery mill, Jackson R-2 School System, Crites and Sailer Roofing and Public Water Supply District 1.
She was a member of the New McKendree United Methodist Church, Altenthal-Joerns Post 158 Auxiliary and the Wesleyan Circle.
She is survived by a son, David Pete Poe of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Betty Henry and Emily Tuschhoff, both of Jackson; a brother, Eugene Sonny Blumer of Lake Egypt, Ill.; two sisters, Dorothy Welker of Cape Girardeau and Ruth Reynolds of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Don Covington officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
