Marita Cattoor

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Marita C. Cattoor, 91, of Perryville died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 14, 1921, in Perry County, daughter of Arthur and Luvina "Lulu" Hagan Thieret.

Marita retired after 29 years as a cook with the Perry County School District. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, Mo., and a former member of Blessed Virgin Mary Ladies Sodality in Belgique, Mo.

Survivors include four sons, Jerry (Bonnie) Cattoor of Imperial, Mo., Ronald Cattoor and Darwin (Karen) Cattoor of Perryville and Richard (Karen) Cattoor of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Howard and Lloyd Thieret.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. Parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 8:45 a.m. Monday.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rickey Valleroy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Alzheimer's Association or masses.
