OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Marion R. Williams, 76, of Olive Branch died Sunday, Aug, 28, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 25, 1935, in Hickman, Ky., son of the late Jesse and Christine Hall Williams.
He was a retired farmer and was a former school board member with the Egyptian School District in Tamms, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Anne Corley Williams of Olive Branch; three sons, Steve Williams and Jeff Williams, both of Olive Branch, and Tim Williams of Tamms; a daughter, Shelly Britt of Clarksville, Tenn.; four stepsons, Richard Waddell of Soest, the Netherlands, Dennis King of Johnson City, Tenn., Mark King of St. Louis and Mitchell King of Crestwood, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Jayne Dougherty of St. Peters, Mo.; three sisters, Floy Patrick, Jane Tripp and Jean Williams; two brothers, Wayne Williams and Larry Williams; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brent Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Richwood Cemetery in rural Tamms.
