VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Marion R. "Bud" Malone, 79, of Villa Ridge, formerly of Mounds, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at his home. He was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Jonesboro, son of Edward and Josephine Kimmel Malone. He had retired after 50 years as a manager and salesman with Malone Motors. VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Marion R. "Bud" Malone, 79, of Villa Ridge, formerly of Mounds, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at his home.

He was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Jonesboro, son of Edward and Josephine Kimmel Malone. He had retired after 50 years as a manager and salesman with Malone Motors. He attended the Villa Ridge Union Church.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Alexander Malone of Villa Ridge; two sons, Gerald Malone of Villa Ridge and Gary Malone of Charleston, Mo.; a daughter, Debbie Heilig of Pulaski; a brother, Melvin Malone of Villa Ridge; a sister, Wilma Powles of Godfrey; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Graveside funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. today at the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will follow. There is no visitation.
