CAIRO, Ill. -- Marion V. "Betty" Gray, 70, of Cairo died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Daystar Care Center.
She was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Mississippi County, Mo., daughter of Jobe Neekly and Florence Jones Steward. She married Al Gray, who died in 1991.
Gray was a clerk at Rink's Superette for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Jami Hays of Wickliffe, Ky., Cindy Holmes of Cairo; three sisters, Earline Petty of Charleston, Mo., Zelma Macko of Kansas City, Mo., Ora Cooper of Rockford, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a brother, and three sisters.
There is no visitation.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill. The Rev. Robert D. McCoy will officiate.
Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
