OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Marion Farris, 94, of Olive Branch died at 6:35 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at his home.
He was born Aug. 30, 1919, to Chris and Rovilla Bruce Farris. He married Irene Huffman on Dec. 18, 1938.
He was a member of Lake Milligan Baptist Church where he served the church in numerous capacities. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie (Edna) Farris of Paducah, Kentucky; a daughter, Carol Ann Cox of Henderson, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Penny Farris of Wickliffe, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Todd, Kyle, Tammy, Brad, Misty and David; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Miller of Olive Branch; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Kenny Farris in 2013; and two brothers, Gene Farris and Paul Farris.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lake Milligan Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
